Day 01: Arusha To Tarangire

After you arrive, your friendly safari guide will meet you at the airport. From there, you will  begin your journey to Tarangire National Park, the first stop on your safari adventure.

As you travel, enjoy the scenic drive through the countryside and listen to your guide share interesting stories about Arusha’s history and the Maasai culture. It’s a great introduction to life in northern Tanzania.

Once you arrive in Tarangire, you’ will start exploring this beautiful park, known for its wide-open landscapes, seasonal swamps, and large herds of elephants. With a bit of luck, you might also spot lions, leopards, or even cheetahs. The park is also home to huge baobab trees, which are a unique and unforgettable sight.

During the day, you will stop to enjoy a hot lunch in the park, surrounded by nature. After lunch, continue with your game drive, spotting more wildlife as the day cools down and animals become more active.

In the late afternoon, you will  leave the park and head to your lodge in Karatu or Mto wa Mbu, where you can relax, have dinner, and rest for the night.

Day 02: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will journey toward the fertile highlands, where the Iraqw people cultivate wheat, coffee, and maize. As you pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, take in the stunning views of the iconic Ngorongoro Crater before continuing onward to the Serengeti National Park, arriving around midday.

The Serengeti is Tanzania’s largest national park, renowned for its varied landscapes, which include vast grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannahs, and rugged mountains. It is famous for the spectacular annual migration of wildebeest and zebras, where thousands of animals traverse the park in search of fresh grazing and water—a breathtaking natural phenomenon depending on the season.

Following an extensive game drive exploring this remarkable wilderness, you will stay overnight at a lodge or tented camp inside the Serengeti, where you can relax and enjoy the wild surroundings.

Day 03: Serengeti National Park

On this day, you will explore the Kogatende area in the northern Serengeti, a key location during the Great Migration. This region is home to the Mara River, which separates Tanzania’s Serengeti from Kenya’s Masai Mara.

During the migration season, usually between July and late August, thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and other grazing animals gather here to cross the river. These dramatic crossings are one of nature’s most incredible sights, as the animals face strong currents and waiting crocodiles.

It is  a rare and unforgettable experience, often featured in wildlife documentaries from channels like National Geographic and Discovery. With your professional guide, you will spend the day on game drives, following the herds and observing the rich wildlife that makes this region so famous.

In the evening, return to your camp for dinner and a restful night surrounded by the sounds of the Serengeti.
