It’s the Safari season! Zanki Tours and Safaris lets you experience Tanzania authentically! Grab your seat on our vehicle and get ready to be amazed by the elegant "Twigas" around and let your mind be taken away by all the Nature's rhythms. Enjoy the amazing encounters with wildlife and discover cultures and history as you embark on the trip of a lifetime!


Day 01: Arusha - Tarangire.

In the morning at 8:00 am your safari guide/driver will meet you at your hotel in Arusha ready to start your safari, and by 10:00 am you will have arrived at Tarangire national park.

This park is the third largest National park in Tanzania. It offers a diverse geological landscape with nine distinct vegetation zones from grassland to woodland, from deep gully vegetation to scattered rocky hilltops. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, an unusually large elephant population, and the largest recorded concentration of breeding bird species in the world. Tarangire River is the only permanent water supply in the area.

During lunchtime, you will be provided a lunch box, after which the safari will continue.

In the early evening, you will drive to your lodge at Karatu for Dinner and overnight.

Overnight: Marera Valley Lodge or Similar.

Meals Plan: Full Board.



Day 02: Karatu - Ngorongoro.

After breakfast your driver/guide will pick you up and proceed with game viewing in Ngorongoro Crater, we advise you to leave the hotel as early as possible so you can see the variety of animals that are only active during the morning hours.

Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera and is often described as one of the wonders of the world. it is a famous national park because here you can find the greatest number of different animal species per square kilometer. You will have the chance to see buffalo, elephants, lions, wildebeests, zebras, hippopotamus, and, feline species such as caracals and servals. The luckiest travelers might even see a rhinoceros, an animal whose numbers are rapidly declining.

During lunchtime, you will arrive at the lake side where you will be provided a lunch box, after which the safari will continue.

In the early evening, you will drive to your lodge at Karatu for Dinner and over overnight.

Overnight: Marera Valley Lodge or similar.

Meals Plan: Full Board.



Day 03: Karatu - Mto wa Mbu Village tour

After breakfast, your driver will be ready to drive you to Mto wa mbu village.

Today you will have a walking tour in the farming town of Mto wa Mbu which will give you a highlight on the vast cultures of Arusha and its people. This village is unique in Tanzania since it is home to over 120 different tribes from across Africa and forms a colorful mix of languages and customs. Your walking guide will take you to rice and banana plantations, a local beer factory, a school, and a carving factory where you will discover the traditional way of life of the villagers. You will also have a chance to meet Maasai people and learn more about their complex and interesting culture.

During lunchtime, you will be provided a Lunch box, after which the tour will continue.

By early evening you will be on your way back to your hotel in Arusha.


NOTE:

# You should be aware that this is wild nature, so the guide cannot make any guarantees on the presence of specific wild animals, but you can be sure he will do his best to find everything you're looking for! The Zanki team has its radio channel that the drivers use to communicate with other guides and collaborate on searches for rare species.

#Take into consideration that to see certain animals you will have to start your day early in the morning, and it may be cold outside, so you should not forget to pack some warm clothes. For example, in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before and after sunset the temperature can fall to 0°C.
